Buyer - Based in Beds (Hybrid, 2 days in office) up to £42,854

Your new role:As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in the procurement of various commodities and services, including IT systems, infrastructure, construction projects, and marketing campaigns. You will manage the end-to-end procurement process, from planning and sourcing to contract management and supplier performance. Your responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective procurement and contract management across multiple categories.
* Developing and implementing procurement strategies with a focus on sustainability.
* Leading evaluation sessions, negotiating with suppliers, and presenting outcomes clearly.
* Managing the contract database and e-Sourcing tools.
* Providing advice and guidance on procurement policies and procedures.
* Researching market data to estimate and negotiate prices and innovations.
What you need to succeed:To be successful in this role, you will need:
* At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a procurement role with experience of running tenders end to end.
* Open to a diverse range of category experience due to the nature of the role, including, but not exclusively, Construction, Infrastructure, IT and Marketing
* CIPS qualification or willingness to work towards it.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* The ability to work methodically and manage multiple projects.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* The ability to coordinate multidisciplined teams and deliver projects on time.
