Overview
CareTech Community Services is a national provider of support for people with complex and challenging behaviours associated with autism, learning disabilities, mental health illness and neurological conditions. We support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and also in residential care. We are committed to providing the highest levels of care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager where required.
* Ensure that the team of Residential Care Workers completes mandatory learning and support their individual development.
* Communicate with the on‑site team and raise awareness of individual care plans and their implementation.
* Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files.
* Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate communication and staff development.
* Provide support and care to young people within our services.
* Encourage young people in their preparation to re‑enter education or engage in their current schooling.
* Travel with young people to and from school or college.
* Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home (cleaning, laundry, etc.) throughout the day.
* Organise and facilitate social activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Full UK driving licence.
* Desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger Peoples workforce qualification.
* 12 months senior experience working in a residential setting is highly desirable but applications from those at the start of their journey are also encouraged.
* DBS and reference checks will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.

Shift Pattern
16/24 hour shift pattern (including sleep‑in) on a one on two off or two on four off basis.
