Main duties of the job
As a GP Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm, professional, and helpful service at all times. Youll manage incoming calls and queries, including booking appointments, handling prescription requests, and answering general enquiries.
You will also support the clinical team by preparing patient information, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that administrative tasks such as updating details, scanning documents, and processing correspondence are completed efficiently.
Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you'll play a key role in keeping the practice running smoothly and delivering an excellent experience for our patients.
Shifts will be Tuesdays 8:00 - 13:00, Wednesdays 13:30-18:30 and Fridays 12:30-18:30

Main Duties
* Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner.
* Manage telephone calls, appointment bookings, and general enquiries promptly and accurately.
* Process prescription requests and maintain accurate patient records.
* Distribute information, messages, and enquiries for the clinical team.
* Liaise with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community services.
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and practice policies.
