PITCH is a high‑energy sports bar delivering high‑volume, fast‑paced premium casual food. The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team by preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to specification, maintaining speed, consistency and high standards of food quality, hygiene and organisation. This role is hands‑on, service‑focused and essential to smooth kitchen operations. Kitchen Operations & Service • Prepare and cook menu items following Pitch recipes and portion guidelines. • Deliver consistent product quality and accuracy during high‑volume service. • Maintain speed and efficiency for fast customer turnaround. • Maintain prep levels and communicate shortages. • Keep a clean and organised kitchen environment. Food Quality, Hygiene & Compliance • Follow standardised recipes and preparation systems. • Adhere to Food Safety, HACCP, allergen and Health & Safety regulations. • Conduct food storage, temperature and cleaning checks. • Follow correct storage, labelling and stock rotation procedures. Stock, Ordering & Cost Control • Assist with stock rotation, ordering and deliveries. • Reduce waste and support cost‑efficiency. • Maintain organised storage and labelling systems. Team Support & Communication • Maintain teamwork, pace and morale. • Support junior staff where appropriate. • Communicate clearly and collaborate with FOH teams. Key Skills Required Essential • Experience in a fast‑paced kitchen. • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to work under pressure. • Good communication and organisational skills. • Knowledge of food hygiene. • Reliable and team‑oriented.
