Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Locksmith to support a Local Authority contract. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ hands-on experience working with a wide range of locks and doors, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites. A full driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, repair and replace all types of locks (including mortice, cylinder, UPVC and FB locks).
2. Gain entry to properties in emergency and non-emergency situations.
3. Repair and replace doors, frames, and associated ironmongery.
4. Carry out lock upgrades, fitting new locking systems and ensuring security standards are met.
5. Assess damaged locks/doors and provide accurate recommendations.
6. Maintain clear job records and provide excellent customer service.
7. Work across communal areas and residential properties within Local Authority settings.
Requirements:
8. Minimum 5 years’ locksmith experience.
9. Experience working within Local Authority or social housing environments.
10. Full UK driving licence.
11. Ability to start within 2 weeks.
