Job Title: Female Deputy Support Manager
Location: Colchester Community Support
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time 39 hours per week
Salary: up to £30,62
Annual Leave: 33 days

Responsibilities

Assist the Support Manager in delivering‑centred support that meets regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements. Mentor teams, coach staff and drive continuous improvement. Ensure practice leadership is developed, recognised and reflected in all activities. Support people to design their support plans, manage rota and maintain records, address concerns, conduct audits, and deputise for the Support Manager as needed. Promote inclusion, independence and act as an ambassador for the company’s vision.


Key Duties

* Lead and support teams, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
* Co‑create and refine support plans with service users.Manage rota and coordinate shift work to meet service demands.
* Maintain accurate records and conduct regular audits.
* Act as deputy for the Support Manager when required.
* Advocate for service users' rights and well‑being.


Qualifications & Experience

* Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England).
* Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
* Leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and care regulations.
* Excellent communication, leadership and decision‑making skills.
* Confidence in using digital systems such as Excel and care planning software.
* Flexible working hours and willingness to travel locally.
