Overview
East Cheshire NHS Trust is looking to recruit Bank Doctors in General Medicine at ST3+ level to enhance our Medical Staff Bank. Applications are welcomed from doctors to work on an ad-hoc basis to provide consistent, high level patient care and to assist with continuity of care. This is Bank work on an as-and-when basis with no guaranteed hours, offering flexibility to select shifts around your lifestyle. A minimum of 6 months NHS/UK experience is required to join the Bank.
Note: Due to the terms of a Bank contract, we are unable to meet the UKVI Skilled Worker criteria and therefore unable to provide sponsorship for visa purposes. Bank rates are subject to change (hourly rate inclusive of 12.5% annual leave payment).

Main duties
We are looking to recruit doctors at ST3+ grade for work ranging from a single shift to an extended post, with evening, weekend and on-call shifts available. Full GMC Registration is required, as well as achieving the appropriate level of competencies to carry out the role. Duties within booked shifts include:
* To liaise between nurses, other clinicians, patients and relatives to support safe care
* To attend and participate in board rounds, ward rounds and related daily unit activities
* To provide appropriate workplace supervision to other staff as needed
* To maintain high standards of professionalism, especially in relation to documentation
* To arrive on time for the shift and be available for work from the arranged start time
* To cooperate with the workforce deployment team regarding shift administration
* To attend local induction when working in new areas
* To comply with local policies, including upholding the trust's values and behaviour
Doctors joining the Trust Medical Bank will be expected to complete pre-employment checks including GMC registration, satisfactory references, health clearance, enhanced DBS check, identity and right to work checks.
