We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator / Receptionist to join our busy Havering Service. Our Receptionists at Romford play an integral role in supporting the team by providing administrative and clerical support, enabling them to focus on delivering services and ensuring our service users receive the help they need to achieve their goals.
Location: Romford
Hours: Part time, 22.5 hours per week
Salary Range: £25,077.00 (dependent on experience, based on full-time hours, pro-rata for part-time)
Allowance: £2,195.72 Outer London Weighting (pro-rata for part-time)
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2026
About the role
1. Be the first point of contact, ensuring visitors and service users receive friendly and efficient service.
2. Maintain a welcoming and tidy reception area.
3. Keep client information displayed in the reception current and relevant.
4. Encourage feedback from service users and promote the use of suggestion boxes.
5. Provide basic advice and information about our services.
6. Manage appointment systems and liaise with keyworkers.
7. Check appointments on the information system and book future appointments.
8. Take messages and update contacts in case management systems.
9. Input referral information into our Criis system.
10. Support team in managing and booking appointments via electronic diaries.
11. Maintain accurate contact records on case management systems.
About you
1. Knowledge of general office procedures.
2. IT proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry.
3. Good interpersonal skills and team flexibility.
4. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond to requests for assistance.
5. Solid numeric skills.
6. Good organisational skills.
7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
8. Professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards service users.
9. Flexibility to meet the demands of the role.
10. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
