We are seeking a passionate and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in running the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all food preparation meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires strong leadership abilities, a commitment to food safety, and a deep understanding of culinary techniques within a hospitality environment.
Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
* Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Help develop new menu items and contribute to menu planning.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Ensure that the kitchen is well-organised, clean, and efficient at all times.
* Handle any customer complaints or special requests with professionalism.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
