Senior Consultant – Real Estate Advisory (Health)

Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to work in our Real Estate Consulting (REC) team. The role involves planning and developing healthcare estate and infrastructure projects and programmes, supporting the development of healthcare estate strategies, and authoring business cases using the HM Treasury 5‑case model from Project Initiation to Full Business Case.
Responsibilities
* Prepare business cases (SOC / OBC / FBC), estate/property strategies, property target operating models, and change management.
* Hold a relevant real estate industry qualification or experience.
* Have experience in a client-side and consultancy environment.
* Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in managing client relationships.
* Be financially literate with a good commercial understanding and financial analysis capability.
* Combine commercial, strategic, and operational perspectives.
* Be persuasive and not afraid to challenge, debate, and influence key decisions.
* Demonstrate programme, project, capital project, and contract management skills.
* Possess strong data handling, analysis, and presentation skills.
* Work collaboratively as a team player, staying calm under pressure.
* Travel as required and adapt to new sectors or environments.
Qualifications – Essential
* Bachelor’s degree.
* Project Management Qualification (e.g., Prince2, MSP) or equivalent experience.
* Business case writing experience.
* Experience collaborating and managing change across multidisciplinary teams.
* Project management planning and organisational skills, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
* Knowledge of the HM Treasury 5‑case model and experience in supporting business case authoring.
* Experience working with large and complex datasets.
* Excellent interpersonal, persuasion, and influencing skills.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements.
* Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage workload independently.
* Clear understanding of good practice data management procedures.
Qualifications – Desirable
* Relevant industry qualification (Surveying, Engineering, Finance, Accounting).
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Business case accreditation.
* Experience of strategic infrastructure programmes in large/complex organisations.
* Experience as a project manager in Health or Social Care services.
* Leadership in developing business case for major capital investment opportunities.
* Initiative and resilience to deal with challenges and resistance.
* Proficiency in data tools (MS Excel, Power BI) for evidence‑based analysis.
