We are currently recruiting for a shift based Technical Assistant within the Quality Department to monitor production line quality, carry out audits, log samples and results, support production and occasionally analyse product in the chemistry and microbiological laboratories as required.
We manufacture soft drinks from one of the most up to date, technologically advanced factories in the UK. We have 3 PET Bottling Lines and 2 Canning Lines at present.

The Quality Assistants role will involve working 12 hour based shift pattern of 2 day shifts (6am-6pm) and 2 night shifts (6pm to 6am).
An example of some of the duties required from the successful applicant will be to:
· Collect samples and carry out tests / analysis to agreed sampling plan and methods (raw materials, microbiological, finished product).
· Carry out a complete QA/QC check on line for each production run while on shift (Independent check to support production).
· Place raw materials / finished product etc. in quarantine as required.
· Ensure all documentation is completed to standard.
· Work with technical and production teams to assist in problem solving and implementation of corrective actions.
. Complete internal audits as part of the BRC and CLAS accreditation scheme.
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following skills:
· Previously worked in the food industry (within QA/QC or laboratories).
· Has attention to detail.
· Able to problem solve / take the initiative.
· Happy to work unsupervised.
· Has received food hygiene / HACCP training.
· Ability to efficiently organise workload.
· Good communication skills.
· Happy to use Word and Excel.
