Description Salary: £38,923 Work Location: North London Waste Authority, Unit 1B, Berol House, 25 Ashley Road, Tottenham Hale, London, N17 9LJ with remote working arrangements available Hours per week: 36 Contract Type: Permanent Closing date: Sunday 14 th September 2025, 23:55 Interviews: TBC About the role Employed by London Borough of Camden, the Finance Analyst - OPEX will be based in North London Waste Authority (NLWA), serving Camden and six other north London boroughs that make up its membership. The focus of this role will be to maintain accurate purchase order and invoice systems, support month-end and year-end processes, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting. You’ll work closely with vendors, Camden (our accounts payable sponsor), and internal stakeholders to ensure timely invoice processing and reliable financial data. Key responsibilities include: Raising and managing purchase orders Matching and coding invoices correctly Resolving discrepancies and managing relationships with Camden and vendors Preparing invoices for payment and managing accruals Supporting reporting, audits, and forecasting as needed We’re seeking someone who brings professionalism, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to financial operations. About You You are a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional with a strong understanding of operational finance processes. You have experience working with purchase orders, invoices, and financial systems, and are confident managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies, manage month-end accruals, and support budgeting and forecasting demonstrates your commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
