Our client is a highly respected Housing Association that places tenants at the centre of everything they do, delivering high-quality, customer-focused housing services.
The have approached us to recruit for an Interim Head of Housing to lead and deliver high-quality housing and property services, covering tenancy, leasehold, asset management, and property maintenance.
As a key member of the senior management team, you’ll be the driving force behind service excellence.
What you’ll be doing:
* Lead tenancy, leasehold, and property services, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and consumer standards
* Oversee stock condition, planned maintenance, responsive repairs, and landlord health & safety (gas, fire, electrical, water, lifts, asbestos)
* Manage, support, and develop a high-performing team, embedding a customer-first culture
* Drive service improvement across lettings, voids, income collection, ASB, complaints, and shared ownership
* Lead contractor management and procurement to deliver cost-effective services
* Plan and manage budgets, balancing investment priorities with value for money
* Shape housing and asset management strategy, including reconfiguration and stock rationalisation
* Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring services meet the needs of all customers, including those with disabilities, mental health issues, and neurodiversity
* Play an active role in our on-call rota for out-of-hours escalation
What we’re looking for:
* A professional qualification in housing, property, or building (e.g. CIH, construction)
* Deep knowledge of housing legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
* Significant experience across tenancy, leasehold, housing management, and property services
* Proven ability to influence strategy and manage change.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience working with diverse customer groups, including those with additional needs.
