Faculty
The Department of Social Work and Social Care delivers accredited Social Work programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It also hosts a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship which encompasses ongoing research on the subject of child abuse and child protection.
What you will be doing:
As part of the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship research project on 'Child Protection in Pakistani Communities', we are seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Associate for an 18month fixed-term contract. The duties are wide ranging, and the post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to the diverse demands of the role and be able to work with a high degree of responsibility and initiative. The post holder is expected to always maintain confidentiality and treat confidential information with tact and sensitivity as data collection will involve interactions with victims/survivors of child sexual abuse. Qualifications/ experience:
* A PhD in Social Work, Psychology or Sociology
* Knowledge of child abuse and historic child abuse
* Experience of conducting research in social work and associated research governance.
* Experience of qualitative data collection and analysis on sensitive topics.
