Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Support Services Engineer to join our IT Services team at our Cambridge and Huntingdon Campuses. You will join us on a full time (37 hours), full year basis for a fixed term of 1 year and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £24,107 - £25,983 per annum, plus staff benefits. About the role: You will be: Responsible for providing a high level of technical expertise in the delivering and supporting of secure, up-to-date technologies and continually evolving the organisation’s IT services to meet the College’s strategic goals. Responsible for the support and maintenance of the College’s endpoint systems and services. Administration of the organisation’s shared helpdesk services and allocation of support requests. Collaboration with the College’s departments regarding the evolution, planning, and implementation of new systems and technologies to achieve their business goals. Contribute to the evaluation and procurement of efficient and cost-effective technologies, contracts, and services to meet the College's strategic aims. Responsible for the IT systems incident & relationship management. Providing recommendations and support to the College’s management and staff to ensure compliance with relevant policies, legislation, and acts. What we are looking for in our role: Recent and relevant IT experience in desktop, server, cloud systems and network support. Experience of Microsoft Office, Office 365 and Windows environments. Experience of administering a Windows Active Directory environment. Knowledge of IP address troubleshooting and administration. Ability to take responsibility for making decisions. Accuracy, attention to detail, punctuality, good communication and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team. Pro-active with a calm and pleasant disposition HNC/A level or equivalent industry experience.
