Lead Golang Software Engineer, Commercial Systems

Role Overview
We are hiring a Lead Golang Software Engineer at any seniority level. The successful candidate will strive for the highest engineering quality, continuously improve their skills, and apply them to a range of popular software systems, integration technologies and open‑source solutions.
Commercial Systems Units
* Billing team: Designs, develops and operates a Golang service that turns metrics into billable amounts and integrates with other engineering and business systems.
* Contracts team: Builds a Golang service that serves as the single source of truth for all customer contracts, providing CPQ capability and integration with CRM and accounting systems.
* Livepatch team: Develops a service that delivers Linux kernel patches to shrink the exploit window, collaborating with the Kernel team on security patches.
Location
This role is based remotely in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
* Develop engineering solutions leveraging Golang.
* Lead technical designs, code reviews, and implementation.
* Deploy and operate services developed by the team.
* Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback to colleagues.
* Develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.
Qualifications
* Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
* Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about an alternative path.
* Track record of exceeding expectations and achieving outstanding results.
* Experience developing software in Golang.
* Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
* Result‑oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments.
* Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long.
Nice‑to‑have Skills
* Performance engineering and security experience.
* Experience with accounting, sales, sales operations, or other business roles.
