Job purpose
To coordinate all aspects of the site’s transport and supervise the Warehouse operations, ensuring goods are delivered to customers on time, in full, and to the right quality.
Responsibilities
* Coordinating incoming material deliveries and finished goods deliveries (UK and Export/Import).
* Supervise the Warehouse Team, ensuring adherence to standard work and company processes.
* Approve or deny holidays in line with company procedure and arrange cover or shifts as appropriate (to be agreed with your Manager).
* Cover warehouse team members during holidays or sickness.
* Oversee Warehouse operations and ensure all processes are followed.
* Organise stock transfer vehicles to/from internal and external warehouse facilities; create transfer sheets.
* Manage stock transfers.
* Review, update and manage the Incoming and Outgoing Goods calendar (including colour coding).
* Use Sage 200 and Excel daily for stock movements and related tasks.
* Liaise with customers, hauliers, suppliers and customs clearing agents.
* Ensure sales are up to date and informed throughout.
* Maintain excellent customer service aligned to company vision and standards.
* Generate and prepare shipping documentation (commercial invoices, picking lists, CMRs, purchase orders).
* Create dispatch bags for the Warehouse (invoices, CMR, picking lists and haulier information).
* Obtain quotations from hauliers, ensuring value for money where possible.
* Adhere to Company environmental and sustainability policies.
* Liaise with drivers, manage dispatch and routing issues.
* Assist with reverse logistics.
* Track and achieve On Time In Full (OTIF).
* Analyse haulier KPIs to ensure agreed lead times are met.
* Report deliveries on and off track daily/weekly to the Manager, including escalations.
* Support the warehouse team with stock takes.
* Coordinate with all departments at month-end.
Skills / Qualifications
* Knowledge around the recent Brexit regulations.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages.
* Capable of managing own workload and liaising at all levels within the business.
* Strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
