Our client has an excellent opportunity for a proactive and effective Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal with excellent customer service skills to join their friendly Residential Conveyancing team. Their residential property team is very experienced, having been administering quality residential conveyancing for over 30 years. Although the preference is for the successful candidate to be full-time, they will consider applications from part-time candidates with the right experience. There is an opportunity for hybrid working.
We will consider applications from candidates with property management and estate agent experience, as well as conveyancing experience at any level.
The role:
1. Assist in the day-to-day running and administration of conveyancing files
2. Ensure compliance with the firm's money laundering requirements
3. Attend to clients, estate agents, solicitors, intermediaries, and other third parties both on the telephone and in person, providing updates and general advice
4. Prepare work as requested by any Conveyancing fee earner
5. Assist in the personal organisation of fee earners through the operation of the Case Management system and diary management
6. Draft letters and legal documents
7. Liaise directly with other parties regarding enquiries
8. Undertake searches with Local Authority, Land Registry, etc.
9. Arrange the transfer of monies on completion
The person:
1. Excellent communication skills
2. Legal document preparation experience
3. Knowledge of property law and conveyancing processes
4. A keen eye for detail
5. Strong organisation and time management skills
6. Team player with a friendly and approachable attitude
