Overview
Response is seeking a Bank Mental Health Support Worker to join Carramar, Morrell Crescent, Littlemore, Oxfordshire. The role involves providing person-centred support to residents with serious mental illness and related conditions. Hours: Part-Time, Monday–Sunday, including bank holidays; shifts mornings, evenings and weekends. Pay: £14.06–£15.19 per hour depending on experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide emotional support, encouragement and practical assistance to residents with daily living activities, including medication assistance, engaging in interests, accessing community groups, education, employment, budgeting, shopping, using public transport and cooking meals; support independent living and tenancy maintenance; promote independence and wellbeing; ensure safety through housing management, risk assessment and health and safety practices; liaise with health and mental health services; support residents to attend appointments; complete daily paperwork. Promote engagement with families, friends and carers.

Essential criteria
* GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Commitment to continual personal development including completing the Care Certificate
* IT literate with experience using MS Office
* Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
* Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends
* Genuine interest in mental health and well-being with a commitment to Response's mission
* Ability to provide non-judgemental, emotional and practical support
* Demonstrates high levels of personal and professional integrity aligned with Response’s vision, mission and values
* Ability to follow health and safety procedures

You will receive training to use core therapeutic talk therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-based Trauma-Informed Care and Mutual Aid.
