Responsibilities
* Recruit and train the best people for your team, ensuring they can deliver above and beyond by developing their operational and leadership skills.
* Coach your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the store’s products, building its brand and providing customers with the right range, quality and service to keep them coming back.
* Lead your team in driving trade activity, using your expertise to grow sales and maximise profit.
* Lead and build your managers’ knowledge to deliver and sustain the Store Change Plan and planned resource activities, ensuring hours are worked when and where they best benefit customers, and identify and resolve root‑cause issues with sustainable solutions and continual reviews.
* Prioritise the safety of colleagues, ensuring the store trades legally by coaching the team to use all available security tools to provide a safer workplace.
Qualifications
* You are a great communicator who shares knowledge, experience and best practices, understands the importance of your role and works collaboratively to deliver results.
* You are natural and welcoming with customers, putting them at the center of everything; you listen and understand others, building strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
* You use your energy and resilience to keep momentum in challenging environments, own decision‑making for the store, and act quickly to make the right decision for customers and colleagues.
* You have the energy and drive to deliver beyond expectation, doing the right thing whether everything is going well or times are tough, and consistently performing at your best, inspiring confidence in those around you.
* You are aware of competitors’ actions and continually look for ways to build and deliver new initiatives to improve the store for customers.
