CNC Programmer
Location: Abingdon
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer to join a fast-growing team based in Didcot. In this role, you'll play a vital part in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components across industries such as aerospace, electronics, and industrial manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program and set up CNC machines to ensure they meet technical specifications for a variety of complex projects.
* Operate CNC milling, turning, and drilling machines to manufacture parts with a high level of accuracy.
* Monitor machine operations during production, ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.
* Maintain detailed and accurate records of setups, production logs, tooling data, and machine performance.
* Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to resolve any technical challenges and ensure the timely completion of production targets.
Essential Requirements:
* At least 2 years' experience in CNC machining, including any apprenticeships.
* Solid experience in a precision engineering environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM programs.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach to work.
* Willingness to work afternoon shifts as required.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with metal additive manufacturing or near-net shape parts is a plus.
