We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality services and are now seeking a qualified solicitor to join our growing team in Chester. We’re looking for someone experienced in civil litigation and with a good understanding of financial mis-selling cases. You’ll be responsible for managing a caseload of claims, including matters that are litigated, and contributing to the development of junior staff when necessary.
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
Proven experience handling civil litigation case
Sound understanding of financial mis-selling compensation claims
Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) or consumer credit/financial services law
Proficient in IT systems including Adobe, Word and Excel
Previous experience with group litigation or omnibus claims
Familiarity with the latest developments in PCP/car finance commission claims and FCA regulations
Experience mentoring or training junior legal staff in litigation procedures and CPR
Handling PCP/car finance commission mis-selling claims
Progressing claims from initial instruction to final resolution, including litigated matters
Drafting and submitting complaints to FCA-regulated firms, brokers, FOS, and FSCS, and issuing legal proceedings as needed
Managing the full litigation process including drafting pleadings, track allocation, witness statements, disclosure, and trial preparation (bundling, briefing Counsel, etc.)
Providing training and guidance to junior staff and paralegals
