Overview
You will be a hands‑on technical expert helping deliver projects in a true DevOps manner, applying a software engineering mindset to provisioning services, writing code, and creating automation tools and scripts.
Responsibilities
* Apply a software engineering mindset to provisioning services, writing code, and creating automation tools and scripts.
* Build reliable and performant services that are operationally sound, eliminating waste across the software delivery lifecycle for internal customers and end users.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with Java.
* Experience with Angular or equivalent.
* Experience with Bootstrap 5, HTML, CSS.
* Optional experience with OpenLayers or similar mapping library.
* Optional experience with Java Spring Boot.
* Knowledge of software design patterns and when to apply them.
* Excellent knowledge of development processes.
* Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD).
* Passion for delivering quality code using TDD and setting high software quality standards.
Security Clearance and Pre‑employment Checks
Applicants must obtain Security Check (SC) clearance, which requires continuous residence in the United Kingdom for the last five years and other criteria. Pre‑employment checks include identity, nationality or immigration status, employment history for three continuous years, and an unspent criminal record check.
