Position: Site Setting Out Engineer (Finishing Phase)
Location: Turks & Caicos, Carribean
Compensation: USD 100,000 – 120,000 (flexible depending on experience)

Role Summary
An experienced Site Engineer with strong setting-out expertise is required to support the final delivery phase of a large-scale, high-quality residential project. The position focuses on accurate setting out and technical site coordination during the finishing works, ensuring exceptional quality and smooth execution across all trades.
The successful candidate will demonstrate solid technical knowledge, hands-on site experience, and the ability to manage complex interfaces typical of high-end construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Setting Out & Technical Support

Perform all setting-out activities related to architectural, structural, and MEP components during the finishing phase.

Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
*
Check and confirm levels, dimensions, and alignments for finishing elements including internal partitions, ceilings, bespoke joinery, stone finishes, tiling, external works, and specialist installations.
*
Maintain accurate survey data, site records, and as-built information.
Site Engineering & Coordination
*
Serve as the lead site engineer for finishing works, liaising with subcontractors, consultants, and project management.
*
Provide day-to-day technical input to site teams to ensure works align with approved details and quality standards.
*
Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges to prevent delays or rework.
Quality Control
*
Implement and manage QA/QC procedures for all finishing activities.
*
Carry out inspections, complete checklists, and support approval processes with consultants and client representatives.
*
Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure all finishes meet premium project requirements.
Site Oversight
*
Supervise daily site activities within the finishing scope.
*
Ensure works are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with the programme.
*
Coordinate trade sequencing and interfaces to maintain continuous progress.

Work closely with finishing supervisors and report progress, risks, and constraints to the project management team.
Qualifications & Experience
*
5–10 years of post-graduate experience, ideally within high-end residential, hospitality, or luxury developments.
*
Demonstrated experience setting out during finishing stages of complex projects.
*
Strong understanding of finishing tolerances, QA/QC procedures, and quality benchmarks.
*
Effective communicator with strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
*
Competent with surveying equipment (Total Station, laser levels, GPS) and relevant software.
