KAM - Richmond to £60,000 - Reporting into the Global Key Account Director
Job Purpose Summary:
Responsible for customer account management and maintenance, with the key objectives of maximising revenue in line with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Maintain and develop a profitable customer portfolio through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods by understanding the customers' business requirements.
2. Drive design activities within the account base utilizing all available resources.
3. Devise strategies for designated accounts to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
4. Proactively respond to, qualify, and follow up on sales inquiries to secure orders.
5. Take commercial ownership of customer relationships and business development within those accounts.
6. Achieve or exceed sales and gross profit budgets.
7. Manage customer inventory levels in line with company expectations.
8. Deliver high levels of service to customers.
9. Promote all products and services offered by the group to maximize sales.
10. Attend and present at customer meetings, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
11. Create and report on account development strategies and progress.
12. Procure products in accordance with customer requirements and company guidelines.
13. Liaise internally to resolve issues with customers and suppliers, including financial matters.
14. Ensure all sales administration is completed accurately and promptly.
15. Identify and report on market and client trends.
16. Observe competitor activity and gather intelligence.
17. Attend industry functions as required.
18. Represent the company professionally, aligning with our values at all times.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Attributes
* Strong understanding of the electronics industry and market, with excellent knowledge of electronic components.
* Proven track record of managing key accounts and developing strategic account strategies.
* Ability to successfully close opportunities.
* Knowledge of VMI offerings is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Successful experience in managing customer accounts and securing new business.
* High-level customer service skills, capable of cultivating long-term relationships.
* Experience working with budgets or a good understanding of financial management.
* Sourcing and procurement experience.
* Good IT skills, including maintaining accurate ERP data.
