Environmental Protection Officer (EPO) The EPO investigates complaints and service requests, undertakes inspections and monitoring, and takes enforcement action in relation to a wide range of environmental and public health matters. Depending on assignment, this may include housing conditions, environmental crime, nuisance, anti-social behaviour, pollution, and licensing. The role involves preparing evidence for legal action, responding to consultations, advising stakeholders, and contributing to team strategies. Officers are expected to work flexibly across disciplines as service needs require.
