Class 1 Shunter Driver ASAP START
Location: Aylesham
Salary: £16 - £21ph
Contract Type: Ongoing temporary work
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Shunter Driver. You will be responsible for safely moving vehicles and trailers between two sites on the same industrial estate. This role also requires a hands-on approach in assisting with yard duties as needed, so flexibility and a team-oriented mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Shunt vehicles and trailers safely between the two sites.
* Assist in yard operations, including loading/unloading and general site support.
* Conduct routine safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
* Work closely with the yard team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
* Valid Class 1 driving licence.
* Proven experience in shunting and yard operations.
* Good teamwork skills and willingness to assist where needed.
* Strong attention to safety and detail.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently.
