The Role:

We’re looking for a motivated and creative Campaigns and Brand Officer to join our Communications team. Working under the direction of the Campaigns and Brand Manager, you’ll play a key role in planning, delivering and evaluating a wide range of marketing and communication campaigns on behalf of the County Council.



This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with a variety of services across the organisation, helping them achieve their goals through targeted, effective and engaging marketing activity.


What you’ll do:

Under the supervision of the Campaigns and Brand Manager, you'll support the development, delivery and evaluation of marketing strategies and campaign activity.



Tasks include:

* Provide account management support to services, ensuring alignment with priorities and high quality outputs.
* Create engaging, on brand content for digital, print and social channels.
* Manage social media accounts and paid media activity, including purchasing media and monitoring campaign budgets.
* Monitor and optimise digital campaign performance using data and insights.
* Support directorates with Dotdigital, including template setup.
* Maintain and update marketing content, including that on our sold services websites and team SharePoint resources.
* Build strong working relationships with directorates and collaborate effectively across the team working closely with colleagues in design, web design and video production.
* Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets and plans are met, escalating issues when needed.
* Ensure all activity follows brand guidelines, corporate policies, accessibility standards and GDPR.


What we’re looking for:

* Experience in agency or in-house marketing and account management within the public or private sector.
* Strong copywriting and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with experience of drafting marketing and communication plans/initiatives/campaigns.
* Knowledge of paid digital and offline channels with current experience of setting up and monitoring paid search, display, and social media adverts across the main platforms (Meta, X, Google, LinkedIn, Snapchat).
* Creative thinker with a good understanding of marketing and design principles.
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines with flexibility in fast paced situations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Planner, Teams, SharePoint and email marketing platform (Dotdigital or equivalent).
