We are seeking a part-qualified Structural Engineer to join our progressive, award-winning Civil and Structural Engineering team in our Birmingham office as an Industrial Placement student in 2026. You will help deliver sustainable projects for our communities, planet and society alongside a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team focused on sustainability and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to concept and scheme design, detailed modelling, specifications and drawings.
* Prepare reports and provide advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
* Undertake STEM engagement activities.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, developing relationships and people skills.
* Manage workload to meet project deadlines.
* Arrange and attend meetings, take minutes and distribute actions.
About You (Qualifications and Attributes)
We value potential over experience. If you are part-way through a relevant degree (BEng (Hons) / BSc (Hons) / MEng), we would love to hear from you. We’re looking for people who are:

Work Pattern
Placement students are expected to attend the office a minimum of 4 days per week to ensure appropriate support and development.
