Senior Business Analyst – Counterparty Onboarding (*Openlink / Endur Essential*)

The Senior Business Analyst will support the delivery of a counterparty onboarding transformation within an energy trading environment. The role focuses on defining and improving the end‑to‑end client / counterparty onboarding and integration lifecycle, and supporting the implementation of a workflow platform to standardise onboarding processes.
Working across Front Office trading, Legal, Credit, Risk, Operations and Trading IT, the Business Analyst will gather and translate onboarding requirements for counterparties trading across multiple commodities, ensuring outputs are correctly configured within Openlink Endur and associated internal data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyse and document the end‑to‑end counterparty onboarding lifecycle, including governance, controls and data requirements.
2. Lead requirements gathering with trading, legal, credit, risk, operations and technology stakeholders.
3. Define onboarding requirements for multiple counterparty types ( brokers, trading houses, financial institutions, warehouses).
4. Support the implementation of a workflow / onboarding platform, defining data capture, validation, approvals and controls.
5. Translate onboarding outcomes into Openlink Endur configuration, including counterparty structures, legal entities, agreements and trading permissions.
6. Define data flows and integration points between the workflow tool, Endur and internal systems.
7. Ensure onboarding processes enable accurate trading setup, product permissions and operational configuration.
8. Produce clear business analysis artefacts including requirements, process flows, functional specifications, data models and business rules.
Essential Skills & experience
9. Proven Business Analyst experience within energy or commodity trading environments.
10. Strong experience with counterparty / client onboarding or client integration.
11. Hands‑on experience with Openlink Endur and counterparty reference data configuration (essential).
12. Strong understanding of counterparty, legal entity and agreement data models within ETRM systems.
13. experience defining data mappings, system configuration and integration requirements.
14. Knowledge of trading agreements ( EFET) and how they translate into system setup.
15. Excellent stakeholder management and structured requirements‑gathering skills.
Desirable experience
16. Workflow or case management platform implementations.
17. Multi‑commodity trading environments.
18. Reference data or client lifecycle transformation initiatives.
19. Integration between onboarding platforms, ETRM systems and internal data platforms.
