Overview
The Environment Agency is looking for two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance (STA) directorate. The PMO is focused on creating a centralised portfolio that drives change, transformation, and continuous improvement. You will analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio, help set standards for benefits and value management, and embed them across teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in change and transformation, with strong support from your team and peers.
Responsibilities
* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio.
* Help to identify, value, and validate project benefits.
* Help to set and embed standards for benefits and value management.
* Support change, transformation, and continuous improvement across the business within the Transformation Team.
* Contribute to the development of dashboards and reporting to support decision‑making (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Collaborate across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.
Experience and Skills
* Strong analytical skills with proven experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Clear communication skills; able to explain complex analysis simply to non‑technical audiences.
* Self‑motivated and adaptable; comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits, or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and actively consider diversity issues in work.
* Willingness to participate in appropriate training and development opportunities.
