Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Qualified Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and strong commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
* Oversee statutory accounts and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
* Manage tax compliance including VAT, corporation tax, and payroll obligations.
* Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and business decisions.
* Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to ensure effective financial control.
* Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
* Implement and maintain robust financial systems, processes, and controls.
* Support business growth initiatives, acquisitions, and investment decisions.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and development to junior finance staff.
Experience & Qualifications Required
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Minimum 3–5 years post-qualification experience in a finance role.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
* Proven track record in preparing management and statutory accounts.
* Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
* Strong understanding of tax compliance and regulations.
* Proficient in Sage accounting software .
* Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Experience managing or mentoring junior finance team members is desirable.
* Commercial acumen and ability to contribute to strategic discussions.

Pay: £40,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
