Role Title: EUC Programme Director
Duration: contract to run until 31/03/2026
Location: Northampton, Hybrid 3 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £644.64 p/d Umbrella inside IR35
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
1. Lead the EUC workstream across architecture, engineering, and delivery.
2. Define and execute the EUC roadmap aligned with business and IT strategy.
3. Act as a thought leader in modern workplace technologies and digital user experience.
Architecture & Solution Design
4. Architect end-user computing solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
5. Design and maintain EUC platforms including Windows, macOS, VDI, and mobile endpoints.
6. Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and cloud strategies.
Technology Implementation
7. Oversee deployment and lifecycle management of EUC technologies including:
8. Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11
9. Citrix/VMware VDI
10. Endpoint management (Intune, SCCM)
11. Application packaging and virtualization
12. Drive automation and standardization across the EUC estate.
Security & Compliance
13. Ensure EUC solutions adhere to Barclays' security policies and regulatory requirements.
14. Implement zero-trust principles, identity and access management, and data protection strategies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
15. Partner with infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
16. Engage with vendors and service providers to evaluate and implement new technologies.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
17. Identify and pilot emerging technologies to enhance user experience and productivity.
18. Drive continuous improvement through analytics, user feedback, and service optimization.
Skills & Experience Required:
Technical Expertise:
19. Deep knowledge of EUC technologies including:
20. Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, Azure AD
21. Citrix/VMware Horizon, VDI
22. Intune, SCCM, Autopilot
23. Scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
24. Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments.
Security & Governance:
25. Experience implementing secure EUC environments with zero-trust architecture.
26. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
Leadership & Communication:
27. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
28. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
29. Ability to influence technical and business decision-making.
