Overview
Join to apply for the Healthcare Assistant role at Fresenius Medical Care in Yeovil Dialysis Unit. We are seeking a pro-active individual, ideally from a healthcare background and preferably with an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, to join our clinic as a Healthcare Assistant.
This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week with shifts between 6.00am and 6.30pm (Monday to Sunday). The clinic has 13 dialysis stations and operates two shifts daily, 06:30 to 18:30. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support clinical treatments and maintain a safe treatment environment for patients, relatives and visitors. The role involves extensive walking between patients and some lifting responsibilities. Regular training and guidance will be provided to develop knowledge of company practice, procedures and quality management. Computer skills, good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships within the team are essential.

Responsibilities
* Prepare, restore and maintain areas and equipment for clinical treatments and investigations under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
* Ensure the treatment environment is safe for patients, relatives and visitors.
* Move between patients across the clinic and assist with lifting as required.
* Participate in training to develop knowledge of company procedures and quality management.
* Utilize computer systems as part of daily duties.
Qualifications
* Healthcare background preferred.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build working relationships with the team.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to clinic procedures and safety standards.
