Our Client is looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing renewable energy team. You’ll play a key role in designing, delivering, and optimising solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging projects across the UK.
What You’ll Do
* Design and review electrical systems, schematics, and single‑line diagrams
* Support system sizing, component selection, and layout optimisation
* Provide technical guidance to installation teams and external partners
* Assist with troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and performance verification
* Ensure compliance with BS 7671, G98/G99 and support grid‑connection applications
* Contribute to continuous improvement, safety, and technical standards
* Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry regulations
What You’ll Bring
* Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, inverters, protection, and grid integration
* Experience with electrical design software/CAD
* Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills
* Full UK driving licence
Bonus Skills (Desirable)
* Experience in solar PV, battery storage, or EV charging projects
* PV design software (PV*Sol, Helioscope, etc.)
* Commissioning experience in renewable systems
* Working towards IEng/CEng
