This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically strong Property/Reinsurance professional to move into a senior, client‑facing analytical role supporting the Sales team of a leading global reinsurance broker.
About the Role
The position works closely with Senior Producing Brokers, providing high‑quality analytical insight to support the placement and structuring of complex, high‑value Property reinsurance programmes. While this is not a sales role, it sits very close to the commercial front line and offers significantly more client exposure than traditional modelling or actuarial positions.
Responsibilities
* Act as a technical and analytical partner to the Sales team and their clients.
* Support Producing Brokers on major Property reinsurance accounts, delivering structuring, pricing and benchmarking analysis to inform placements and negotiations.
* Participate in client meetings and presentations, helping explain and contextualise analytical outputs, and advise on programme design throughout the full renewal lifecycle.
* Support new business pitches and marketing activity with clear, commercially relevant insight.
* Work alongside specialist catastrophe modelling teams to interpret and communicate risk outputs.
* Proactively identify analytical opportunities that enhance broker effectiveness and client value.
Qualifications
* Experience in Property reinsurance analytics, catastrophe modelling or actuarial work.
* Solid understanding of structuring, pricing and benchmarking.
Required Skills
* Strong Excel skills are essential.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Comfortable interpreting catastrophe model outputs and explaining them to non‑technical audiences.
* Interested in becoming more client‑facing and commercially connected.
* Confident contributing in meetings with brokers, underwriters and senior client stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
* Exposure to Python or SQL is an advantage but not essential.
* Actuarial qualifications are welcome but not required.
