Job Title: Export Control Lead Practitioner – Authorisation Services

What you’ll be doing:
* Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day advice and guidance on export control regulations and procedures, including domestic and international requirements
* Lead export control integration into IT automation activities and toolsets, ensuring requirements are embedded and compliance is maintained
* Implement export control policies and processes, delivering training to cross-functional stakeholders to ensure strong organisational awareness and capability
* Develop and maintain export control procedures, user guides, and a business-wide compliance framework, deploying these effectively across sites, functions, and projects.
* Conduct audits and investigations into export control compliance, leading root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons-learned reviews
* Support export control assurance activities, including risk identification, mitigation planning, and participation in risk reviews using established business methodologies
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date export control documentation, ensuring alignment with evolving regulations and business needs
Your skills and experiences:
* Knowledge of export control laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively to business activities and provide expert guidance
* Understanding of IT toolsets used for managing business information
* Skilled in conducting accurate investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
* Effective communicator, able to engage with internal teams, senior stakeholders, auditors, and external partners
* Proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving, with awareness of when to seek additional expertise or escalate issues
* Able to interpret procedures, make informed judgements within defined guidelines, and deliver practical solutions
* Collaborative team member who builds positive working relationships and supports shared goals

The team:
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work as part of a specialist support function, on an exciting submarine programme, managing licences, understanding business strategy, embedding compliance and working with the customer and our industrial partners. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
