This position requires in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to navigate complex financial reporting requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on technical accounting matters and support the company's financial reporting processes. Job Responsibilities: 1. Accounting Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest accounting standards, regulations, and pronouncements, including GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards. Ensure the Group's financial statements are drafted in accordance with the applicable accounting principles. 2. Financial Reporting: Preparation of Group interim and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Supporting the preparation of statutory subsidiary accounts. Collaborate with the external auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process. Ad hoc tasks as required by the Group director of Finance/ wider Finance team (e.g. IFRS 16 model preparation). 3. Technical Accounting: Research and analyse complex accounting issues and provide analysis on their treatment, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Document accounting policies and procedures and update them as necessary. Draft detailed technical accounting papers on key judgements and estimates, for submission to the Group director of finance/ Group Technical Accounting Manager to review. 4. Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistent financial reporting across the organization. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with business unit finance teams (including overseas), legal, and other departments to provide technical accounting guidance and support on various transactions, such as business combinations or commercial contractual arrangements. 6. Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate finance and accounting teams on technical accounting topics and updates. Requirements: ACA/ACCA chartered accountant. Minimum of 1 year of post-qualified experience, preferably ex Big 4 audit. Thorough knowledge of IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally. Behaviours: Focusing on Clients and Customers. Working as One NCC. Always Learning.
