£43,470 per annum
180 hours per month (generally days – flexibility required)

Our client, a major industrial operator within a heavy engineering environment, is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join their Engineering Maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served electrician looking to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical industrial setting.
Must have experience maintaining plant & machinery in heavy industrial environments
The Role
You will work as part of a maintenance team responsible for planned preventative and reactive maintenance across plant, machinery and control systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out hands-on electrical maintenance on plant and equipment
* Fault finding across control systems and PLCs
* Isolating plant and equipment safely
* Responding to unplanned breakdowns to meet reliability targets
* Completing job cards and maintenance system updates
* Working to strict safe systems of work and permit procedures
* Supporting operational teams to ensure efficient vessel loading & discharge
* Liaising with contractors and internal stakeholders
Flexibility is essential due to the operational nature of the site, including occasional nights and weekends.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
* Time served Electrician status
* HNC / ONC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) or Apprentice trained
* Experience maintaining plant & machinery in heavy industrial environments (e.g. mining, quarrying, process, manufacturing)
* Strong knowledge of control systems & PLCs
* Excellent fault-finding ability
* Experience working safely under pressure in busy environments
* Understanding of permit-to-work systems
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work at heights
You will be proactive, safety-focused and capable of planning your own workload effectively.
