Help define a progressive approach to medical training at American Canadian School of Medicine (ACSOM). As a Faculty member in Portsmouth, you’ll lead small groups, assess student progress, and build meaningful mentorships. This full-time role emphasises collaborative learning over lectures, empowering you to guide future doctors in science and service.
Responsibility
* Facilitate small-group, discussion-based medical learning sessions
* Develop and refine curriculum content in line with ACSOM’s integrated program
* Mentor and advise medical students throughout their academic progression
* Supervise student performance, provide regular assessments, and offer constructive feedback
* Participate in ongoing faculty development and training in non-lecture-based pedagogy
* Conduct or support research activities and scholarly projects
* Collaborate with fellow faculty in curriculum delivery, academic planning, and institutional initiatives
* Engage in faculty meetings, curriculum reviews, and continuous program improvement
Experience and Qualifications
* Experience in medical education, curriculum development, and clinical training is helpful but not mandatory
* Strong teaching skills and interest in student mentorship
* Research skills, including conducting and supervising research projects preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within an academic community
* Commitment to providing personalized education and mentorship in a diverse setting
* Possession of an MD or equivalent medical degree is required
* Experience in medical education and clinical practice is highly desirable
