Lifting Engineer opportunity to join a newly formed division for one of the biggest lifting equipment providers in Europe. A hands-on role fixing & maintaining lifting equipment, accessories, MEWPS & some plant. You will ensure all testing & inspection of equipment is completed to high standards and within relevant time frames.
Benefits include: £40k-£50k plus overtime, DOE van, and training.
You may already hold or be willing to obtain SSSTS (CITB), Level 3 within Plant installation / ILM Level 3.
We are recruiting for a Lifting Engineer based in the South to cover lifting, cranes, construction hoists, plant, and piling rigs around London/M25/Kent/Essex, with expected growth.
Responsibilities:
* Servicing, maintaining, and repairing plant/crane equipment on customer sites.
* Ensure repairs, inspections, and maintenance meet high standards.
* Maintain a flexible and professional approach to clients.
* Work on various equipment, including lifting gear, cranes, plant, and specialist crawler and tower cranes.
* Have good geographical knowledge of the UK.
* Experience with PUWER & LOLER regulations.
* Potential to progress into an operations manager position as the division grows.
Requirements:
* Experience in the construction plant/crane hire sectors.
* MUST hold qualifications from LEEA (advanced), CITB, or similar.
* Experience with lifting equipment, accessories, winches, hoists, and loose lifting gear.
* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in plant maintenance or mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
* Full UK driving license.
* Experience as a plant fitter, mobile fitter, Tower Crane Engineer, Senior Crane Engineer, Lifting Engineer, or engineer surveyor / Lifting Equipment Engineer / Lifting Examiner.
