Join our specialist support worker team in Fife! Are you an experienced support worker or senior support worker passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people? Do you have experience supporting those in crisis? Randstad is looking for dedicated individuals like you to make a real difference in our community. Providing 24/7 support to one young person Position: Specialist Support Worker Location: Fife Pay: Up to £22 per hour Shifts: Day and Waking Night available What can Randstad offer a specialist support worker? Competitive pay rates exceeding local standards Consistent and predictable rolling rota Supportive team environment for daily assistance Excellent communication and support from the Randstad local specialist team Various pay options and opportunities for professional development training A successful specialist support worker will be responsible for: Dedicate your experience and skills to support a teenager with autism and mental health issues Provide day-to-day support including activities, appointments, and family contact (driver's licence and business insurance preferred) Engage and encourage children or young people to participate in activities and establish structure Provide accurate reports to support care plans and goals To be successful in your specialist support worker application, you will:: Experience supporting children and young people in a residential setting Confidence to de-escalate situations and work with colleagues during heightened behaviours Prior CAMHS training desirable, but training will be provided Ability to make decisions and take action in challenging situations Strong communication and judgement skills Creativity in engaging and building trust with children and young people Commitment to maintaining personal and professional boundaries Your commitment: Be a consistent part of a team offering dedicated support Maintain availability for the duration of support required Take time to gain insight into the child or young person through relevant reports and profiles Personality traits we value: Calmness during crisis situations Confidence in making prompt decisions based on experience Understanding of trauma and its impact on behaviours Non-judgmental attitude Resilience in stressful situations and willingness to try new engagement strategies Observant with heightened awareness levels to share insights with professionals Skills and Training: Driver's licence and business insurance preferred PVG or willing to support new application Registered with relevant regulatory body PMVA trained or willing to undergo training What to expect next: Randstad offers excellent opportunities for professional development in the children's services sector across the UK.
