Overview
Billing Specialist (Temporary Role) – Castleford. Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch), Full-Time. Start Date: Immediate. Contract Type: Temporary. Work pattern: 5 days on-site during training, then hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day from home). This role is suitable for someone with experience in billing, accounts receivable or accounts payable who can support accurate and timely billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Chase applications for payments to ensure timely invoicing and payments
* Collaborate with Operations to reduce delays and minimise invoice accruals
* Ensure all invoices include correct purchase order numbers
* Process and upload invoices using various customer portals
* Raise consolidated invoices for multiple clients
* Resolve billing errors and support invoice query resolution
* Follow correct procedures for onboarding new customers
Requirements
* Experience in Billing, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable (or both)
* Familiarity with Sage 200 is admirable
* Confident using Excel and navigating spreadsheets
* Comfortable handling phone calls and building rapport with clients
* Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
