RELOcruitment are proud to be working with a respected, multi-award-winning firm in the specialist Removals & Storage industry.
With decades of success and a reputation for delivering excellence across the UK and internationally, they’re now looking for a Transport-savvy Operations Controller to join their growing Manchester branch.
If you come from a transport, logistics, or fleet management background and are looking for something a bit different — where your skills are still highly valued but you can also learn a new, rewarding niche — this could be the perfect move.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Take charge of day-to-day operational activity across vehicles, crews, and schedules.
* Ensure all jobs are executed efficiently and in line with service expectations.
* Maximise the utilisation of fleet and staff, working closely with sales/admin teams.
* Maintain strict compliance with transport legislation and H&S guidelines.
* Keep vehicle and driver records up to date and audit ready.
* Proactively resolve operational issues and improve service delivery.
* Lead, develop, and motivate your crew teams to deliver with pride and professionalism.
* Help drive performance and profitability in partnership with the Branch Manager.
Who We’re Looking For:
* A strong background in transport, logistics or fleet operations.
* Solid understanding of transport legislation, fleet compliance, and maintenance processes.
* Confident leading operational teams and managing time-sensitive workflows.
* Organised, proactive, and commercially aware.
* Good with systems, Excel, and the day-to-day admin side of running transport ops.
* Previous removals experience is a bonus — but not essential. Full industry training will be given.
