The Role
This full-time SEN TA position will involve supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including:
* Autism (ASD)
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
* Learning Difficulties (LD)
* Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
You will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team, either within a dedicated SEN/SEMH provision or through in-class support, depending on the needs of the pupils.
Key responsibilities include
* Supporting the delivery of tailored learning activities
* Helping pupils regulate their emotions and develop positive behaviour strategies
* Assisting in adapting teaching materials to meet EHCP targets
* Offering 1:1 or small group support
* Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, and families to deliver holistic support
* Promoting a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
You should be empathetic, patient, and confident in supporting children with behavioural and emotional challenges.
