Overview
We are recruiting for a well-established global technology company working at the forefront of vehicle data and embedded systems. As part of their growing UK presence, they are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the team and take ownership of key infrastructure and development tooling across a range of internal and customer-facing platforms.
This is a hybrid role (1–2 days per week) presence required in their Nuneaton office. You will work closely with both UK and international teams, helping to improve the reliability, scalability, and security of systems that support high-impact software solutions in the automotive sector.
Responsibilities
* Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and development infrastructure
* Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks to improve reliability
* Perform regular system health checks and manage availability of services
* Investigate and resolve infrastructure and production issues
* Support development teams with tooling and release processes
* Contribute to security improvements and compliance
* Produce clear technical documentation for systems and processes
* Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for deployed systems
Skills and Experience
* Strong understanding of the DevOps lifecycle, best practices, and toolchains
* Proven experience in CI/CD setup and pipeline management
* Solid knowledge of Linux environments and microservices architecture
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
* Working knowledge of secure infrastructure practices
* Experience with infrastructure as code, scripting, and automation tools
* Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and Agile delivery methods
* Ansible or similar configuration management tools
* Static code analysis tools
* Database experience (SQL and maintenance)
* Exposure to OpenSSL, firewalls, reverse proxies, VPNs, and other infrastructure components
* Experience with Typescript is a plus, though not essential
