Coach City Padel Exeter About the Role City Padel Exeter is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Coach to help lead our coaching programme and play an important role in shaping the club experience. This is a varied and exciting role that combines on-court coaching leadership with involvement in the day-to-day running of the club. The successful candidate will help deliver an engaging coaching programme while contributing to a welcoming, well-run environment for members and visitors. We are open to shaping the role around the right candidate and would welcome applications from coaches looking for either a salaried position or a self-employed arrangement. Role Structure The role will include a blend of on-court coaching and club operations, with a typical structure including: Leading and delivering the club’s padel coaching programme Supporting the overall club experience and daily operations Working closely with the Head Coach, General Manager and Club Coaching Team. The exact working hours and structure can be flexible and will be agreed with the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities Coaching Leadership Deliver and oversee a high-quality coaching programme Run coaching courses, levelling sessions, and beginner programmes (e.g. Intro to Padel) Lead weekly social sessions to engage the club community Support open days, events, and community initiatives Help guide and support club coaches Maintain high standards of energy, professionalism, and player experience Club & Front of House Support Help create a welcoming and vibrant club atmosphere Engage with members and visitors Assist with Playtomic administration and bookings Support pro shop sales, stock management, and ordering Assist with events and tournament administration when required Support café and bar operations, including preparation of beverages Assist with coach scheduling and general club administration Private Coaching Private coaching opportunities will be available alongside the core role. Private lessons should generally take place during off-peak hours, unless agreed with the General Manager All sessions must be booked through City Padel Private coaching will be reimbursed and paid monthly upon approval of hours What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who: Is passionate about padel and growing the sport Has strong coaching ability and leadership skills Enjoys working in a community-driven club environment Is organised, professional and proactive Takes pride in delivering an excellent member experience LTA Level 2 Padel Instructor Qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
