A market-leading international services group is seeking a Finance Director to join its UK executive leadership team at a pivotal stage of growth and transformation. Operating in a highly regulated and rapidly evolving sector, the organisation has committed significant investment to strengthen its UK platform and capitalise on long-term expansion opportunities.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and acting as a strategic partner across the senior team. The Finance Director will hold statutory responsibility for the UK business while providing commercial insight to shape strategy, drive performance and underpin future growth.
With a team of 22 (including 5 direct reports), the successful candidate will be accountable for financial control, reporting, FP&A, treasury, tax, risk, and compliance, while leading on transformation of systems, processes and team capability. The role also carries responsibility for supporting further acquisitions, operational integration and refinement of the operating model in response to sector-wide funding reform.
The Candidate
We are seeking a commercially astute and hands-on finance leader with a track record of operating at scale in complex, fast-paced environments. Candidates will bring:
* Significant experience as a Finance Director or as number two in a larger corporate environment.
* Strong technical grounding in accounting, controls, FP&A and compliance.
* Proven capability in ERP and BI system implementation to enhance reporting and decision-making.
* Exposure to regulated environments, private equity or Big 4 highly advantageous.
* Demonstrable leadership experience, with the ability to inspire high-performing teams and influence at board level.
* A proactive, outcome-focused approach with resilience in driving change and transformation.
