If you are a dedicated RVN who would like to be part of an independent, close-knit team and have the chance to use all the skills of an RVN then Rose Valley Vets should be your next practice.
We are looking for an RVN with at least one year's experience to join a very busy, truly independent, first opinion small animal veterinary practice. The Grade II listed building has been renovated into a purpose built clinic with modern facilities for the grand opening in May 2020. We are currently a team of 2 vets with an additional vet joining in January 2026, 3 RVN's and 1 receptionist.
We have all the modern diagnostic equipment expected of a first opinion practice including ultrasound, digital X-ray, dental X-ray, dental machine, in-house lab (idexx) and endoscope. The practice consists of 2 consult rooms, 2 theatres, a prep room, dedicated in-patient ward, a large waiting room, nurses station, a fully equipped kitchen and a reception area
The ideal candidate would:
* Have client relationships as one of the main priorities
* Be confident with nurse consults and patient admissions/discharges
* Actively take part in anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
* Carry out In-patient care and recovery
* Be confident with laboratory work and clinical administration
* Support junior team members and student nurses
* Be enthusiastic, have ideas on how to grow the practice
* Work well within a small and close team
The role:
* 4 day working week (Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 18:30)
* Share of the on-call rota - 1 in 4 weekends (08:30 to 23:30) and Thursday 18:30 to 23:30. On call for the vet, therefore you will only be called in if needed. Our out of hours is generally rather peaceful

* RVN
* Valid registration with the relevant veterinary nursing regulatory body.
