The Role: The role requires the ability to combine technical tax knowledge with business acumen to effectively ensure the groups VAT position is managed in a timely and efficient manner. Salary: Competitive The Location: This role is based in London, Victoria and you will be working 3 days in the office. The Team: You will be a part of a tax team, reporting to Head of Tax, alongside three other tax professionals. What you will be responsible for: Responsible for the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT returns. Responsible for ensuring timely payment of all relevant VAT liabilities. Obtaining relevant supporting information from the various accounting/other software/finance and commercial team members to prepare VAT returns. Involvement with the review of internal VAT risk controls, record keeping and processes. Implementing simplifications of existing VAT structures, and where applicable assisting with the testing and implementation of new accounting and related VAT automation software. Providing advice on VAT issues such as, property transaction, to the business. Assisting in the setting up of new VAT registrations and de-registration of entities for VAT as required. Preparation and submission of corporate and partnership tax returns for the group entities. To provide support on general mixed tax compliance and tax advisory projects and assignments. Your skills, experience and qualifications: Essential criteria VAT experience working on various VAT group registrations. ACCA/ACA/CTA/ATT qualified. Problem solving and organisational skills. Good communication skills and determination to complete tasks. Experience of using D365 is desirable. Strong excel skills.
